Animation &  CG

Mostly from 2020 to 2022

We develop high-end cinematic projects such as Metaloka, an immersive sci-fi journey through uncharted worlds, combining strong visual direction with detailed world-building.

Alongside this, we create original animated shorts, including FotoB and Catch The Meerkat, exploring character-driven storytelling with a distinctive blend of humor and visual creativity.

These projects have been developed across different studio as Bonjour Saigon and BadClay, in collaboration with talented teams.

Across all formats, from stylized realism to expressive animation, we craft visuals and narratives designed to engage, resonate, and leave a lasting impression.

OMG! Gods of Three Kingdoms

Created for a video game trailer, this project was an especially exciting production for our team in BadClay as it required us to design and build the entire environment from the ground up.

While the game studio provided the overall creative direction and broad visual guidelines, we were given the freedom to develop the set ourselves, allowing for significant artistic input throughout the process. Working with the game’s existing characters, our role was to stage and animate them in dynamic action-driven sequences that matched the energy and ambition of the trailer.

The project was both technically demanding and creatively stimulating, pushing the team through complex production challenges and tight deadlines.

Despite the intensity of the schedule, it remains one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences we have had the opportunity to contribute to.

Metaloka – 3D Trailer Presentation

Metaloka is a visually stunning 3D trailer created for an ambitious open-world video game that invites players to explore a vast and richly detailed universe.

In this game glimpse, we follow spacecrafts as they travel across the stars, leaping from planet to planet. Each destination unveils a unique environment ,  from lush alien jungles and futuristic cities to desolate moons and underwater civilizations.

Metaloka is a cinematic trailer for a video game set in space, where players travel across multiple planets and alternate worlds. The project offered an exceptional level of creative freedom, allowing us to fully explore and shape the visual identity of this ambitious sci-fi universe.

Its greatest challenge, however, was production speed: the entire film had to be completed in just three weeks, an extremely demanding schedule considering the duration of the piece and the large number of assets, environments, and shots involved.

Despite the intense deadline, the project was an incredibly exciting experience for the team, providing the opportunity to work within a rich science-fiction setting and push our creative and technical capabilities under pressure.

Catch the Meerkat - Trailer

 Artist / Director

Catch The Meerkat is an early-stage development project currently presented as a teaser, created primarily as a research and development piece to explore both visual style and storytelling direction.

The long-term goal is to expand the concept into a full animated pilot, blending modern animation techniques with the charm and expressiveness of classic cartoon sensibilities.

Designed for younger audiences while incorporating a sharper sense of humor that can also appeal to older viewers, the project aims to balance accessibility with personality.

As director of the project, I am currently developing the script and broader narrative framework, with the intention of seeking financing or potentially self-producing the series in the future.

FotoB – Pilot Episode Summary

 Artist / Director

FotoB is an initial pilot project developed internally as a creative and technical exploration of hybrid 2D and 3D animation techniques.

While the current story remains intentionally simple, the broader ambition is to further develop the central hyena character into a recurring animated series. Much like Catch The Meerkat, the project is designed as an early proof of concept with the goal of building a stronger development package for future investor outreach and production opportunities.

Conceived as a dialogue-free animated series for both children and adults, FotoB aims to deliver sharp, expressive humor through visual storytelling alone. We are eager to continue developing both the project and the world of this distinctive character in the future.

Tiger Beer –  Commercial Concept

 Artist / Director

Tiger Beer is an internal commercial concept developed as a creative exploration around one of Vietnam’s most iconic beer brands.

The idea was to blend French and Vietnamese cultural references through a surreal visual concept: a tiger wandering alone through a classic Parisian Haussmann-style apartment.

Created during the COVID lockdown period, the piece played on themes of solitude and confinement, reimagining the tiger as an unexpected companion in an otherwise quiet domestic setting, with the playful message of enjoying a Tiger Beer while staying at home.

From a technical perspective, the project presented several key challenges, including the creation of a realistic CG tiger with detailed fur simulation, while also designing a visually rich interior environment that contrasted elegantly with the animal’s naturally wild presence.

The result is a stylized and atmospheric concept combining humor, branding, and high-end visual execution.
